Autumn Equinox
The close of Earth season brings the final harvest
and there is a sense of taking stock.
What will we gather,
to nourish us through the
yin, fallow phase of this next cycle?

As the last of the summer’s warmth leaves our skin, we ask;
What has come to light?
In what area of my life have I distilled this light
into insight and purpose?
Where have I flourished?
What areas of my life have swelled with the
devotion of my love and commitment?
How can I savour these blossoming expressions?
However great or small,
can I gather their sweetness to my lips in celebration?
Can I allow myself the nourishment
of these courageous uprisings of self?
Can I linger for a moment
To take something of their warmth into my belly,
To hearten me,
as I walk forward into this new season
If we listen closely,
we can already hear the song of the Yin spirits
Where am I feeling the pang of sadness and disappointment?
What questions remain?
Where do I need to venture within in order to seek
the deeper whispers of truth and guidance?
Earth season has supported us to digest
The experiences we have travelled;
Birthing from them
potentised intention
And steady, inspired action.
If we can set our pace with
this newly embodied rhythm,
Earth will help us ground
each foot in front of the next
As we venture into the darkness ahead.
